Yearbooks
Yearbooks are still available for purchase. Students can see Mrs. Millican to purchase a yearbook or purchase one through our school store. They are $70 each.
Graduation Dress Reminders for Seniors
Graduation Dress Code- Seniors are required to wear dress clothes & shoes for graduation. Dark or neutral-colored clothes are best. If your senior needs help securing dress clothes/dress shoes, please reach out to Katie Currin at kcurrin@bullochshools.org as soon as possible.
Remind your senior that graduation is a formal occasion:
● Only the official graduation regalia (cap, gown, collar, honor stole, cords awarded by PMHS) should be worn.
● No jeans, tennis shoes, slides, sunglasses, etc. should be worn.
● No cap decorations are allowed.
Golf Tournament Fundraiser- May 30
Portal Middle High School will host its annual golf tournament on Friday, May 30, at the Georgia Southern Golf Course in Statesboro. This is a fundraiser for our football, basketball, and flag football teams. See this registration form to sign up or be a sponsor of this event. Deadline to sign up is Friday, May 16th.
2nd Semester HS Exam Exemption Requirements (Updated as of 1/1/25)
Students may exempt HS final/semester exams if they meet ALL of the following criteria:
● Have no more than 5 absences to the class
(ALL absences count except for School-Related.)*
● Have no more than 5 tardies to the class
● Have a 70 or higher in the course
*OSS days count as absences.
*The cut off day for grades and attendance to determine if a student exempts their exams will be May 19. (Teachers will continue to take grades for course averages, however, until the last day of the semester.)
Second Semester Exam Dates:
-May 21 (1st & 2nd Block), May 22 (3rd & 4th Block), and May 23 will be make-up.

PMHS Arrival/Dismissal Times
● 7:30 a.m.- Earliest students may be dropped off at school
○ Please use the car rider drive to drop students off, not the front drive.
● 7:50 a.m.- Tardy bell rings
○ Students should be in their classrooms by 7:50 a.m., so they need to
arrive at school earlier than 7:50 a.m.
● 3:00 p.m.- Student Dismissal
